In a bid to expand its presence in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), the First Gulf Bank (FGB) recently launched a new branch at Al-Yamamah Tower in Dubai. The bank has two previously established branches in Abu Dhabi, one in Al-Ain and one in Ajman.

The bank has adopted a service strategy that aims “to merge the best of the hospitality sector with the finest banking products and skills to establish strong, stable and long lasting business relationships," stated FBG’s Chief Executive Abdulhamid Saeed.

"We intend to roll out the new identity and service strategy of hospitality across all existing and new branches," added Saeed. High net worth and key corporate customers will have exclusive access to the First Class Center, located on the seventh floor of Al-Yamamah Tower.

In 2001, FGB launched a new corporate identity and posted a net profit of 61.7 million Emirati dirhams ($16.7 million), a 23 percent increase compared with the previous year along with improving its credit rating. It is one of the most heavily traded shares on the UAE stock markets, with more than 28 million shares changing hands during 2001. — (menareport.com)
