GAC Logistics, part of the world’s largest independent shipping and logistics services provider, GAC Group, Wednesday signed a contract with ExxonMobil, to provide the petrochemical company with total logistics solution across the Middle East.
With the signing of the contract, GAC’s scope of services to ExxonMobil expands from the distribution of bulk lubricants in Fujairah to become a fully-fledged regional logistics operation providing ExxonMobil with seamless supply chain management, said Mr. Dag Bore, General Manager, GAC Dubai, Logistics Services.
Describing the work as providing a ‘one-stop shop for logistics needs’, GAC takes on additional responsibility in inbound clearance of ExxonMobil’s internationally manufactured packaged lubricants, as well as stockholding and inventory management in GAC’s facilities in the Jebel Ali Free Zone and Fujairah.
In addition to distribution of packaged lubricants alongside ExxonMobil client vessels or agents at all ports in the United Arab Emirates, GAC will also deliver directly to their clients throughout the Middle East region, including Oman, Jordan, Qatar, Bahrain, and Saudi Arabia. (menareport.com)
