Herley Industries' two international operations received contract awards totaling $1.5 million. Herley Israel received a contract award from the South Korean Navy to supply sophisticated microwave hardware for electronic warfare (EW) systems on the Navy's KDX destroyers.

The UK-based EW Simulation Technology (EWST) has received a contract award to supply a Chameleon-II system to the Swiss Defense Procurement Agency (DPA). This is a follow-on order for a Chameleon system and will allow the Swiss to further enhance their electronic warfare (EW) test and evaluation capabilities.

Executive Vice President John Kelley stated, "Herley's international operations are performing very well and we expect our international business to continue its trend upward. Accordingly, we are expanding our UK and Israeli facilities to take advantage of these opportunities."

Kelley continued, "We plan to extend our global reach by increasing our content level with customers, focused business development efforts and acquisitions. In addition to growing revenues, we expect these efforts will serve as a catalyst to leverage Herley's full line of defense electronics products into the global marketplace."

Herley Industries, Inc. designs, develops and manufactures microwave technology solutions for the defense, aerospace and medical industries worldwide. Based in the US, Herley has six locations and approximately 640 employees worldwide. — (menareport.com)
