The Emirates Industrial Bank reported that United Arab Emirate (UAE)’s imports from the Arab World grew by an average of 5.7 percent per annum from 1995-1999, reported Al-Watan . The Bank also revealed that some of these imports were re-exported to neighboring countries. The bank also reported that the country’s exports to the Arab World grew by an average of 3.5 percent per annum from 1995-1999 and that Pan-Arab trade volume constituted 85 percent of overall Arab commerce in the last decade. — (menareport.com)
