Iran's national flag carrier Iran Air (Homa) carried about 855,000 passengers in August 2005, according to Iran Air's Public Relations Department.
Based on the report, cited by Irna, a growth of 6.3 percent was posted in number of passengers transported by Iran Air in August compared to the previous month.
Additionally, increases of 4.5 and 16.1 percent were recorded in number of Iran Air's flights in August 2005 compared to July this year and August of 2004 respectively.
Iran Air conducted 10,525 hours of flight in August, a figure showing a healthy growth of 4.6 percent compared to July and 9.2 percent compared to last year's August.
