Business aviation service company Jet Aviation will unveil construction plans for a new facility to be located at the Dubai International Airport, during this year's Dubai Air Show, running from December 7 to 11, 2003.
With facilities in Riyadh and Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, the Dubai location will be the third Jet Aviation facility in the region and will primarily offer maintenance services and fixed based operations (FBO).
Jet Aviation Dubai, a joint venture with the Almulla Business Group of Dubai, is expected to be fully operational in the second half of 2004 and will include a 4,200 square meter hangar - large enough to accommodate two BBJs or Airbus Corporate Jets simultaneously.
Jet Aviation Dubai will offer scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, aircraft repair, defect rectifications, aircraft modifications as well as avionics installations and retrofits for a large variety of business aircraft. In addition, the facility has 1,000 square meters of workshop space and the maintenance division plans to apply for Authorized Service Center status on Boeing, Gulfstream, Falcon, Cessna, Raytheon and Embraer aircraft.
The new 1,050 square meter FBO building will house a conference room, prayer room and private offices. In-house immigration and customs clearance, security checks, baggage screening and metal detector capability allow for secure passenger and baggage handling.
Jet Aviation was founded in Switzerland in 1967. More than 3,500 employees in over 60 facilities and stations worldwide cater to customers in North and South America, Europe, the Middle and Far East. The company provides maintenance, completions and engineering services, fixed base operations, along with aircraft sales, charter, and management on a global basis. — (menareport.com)
