Khalifa Group plans to purchase Algerian Airlines

The President of the Khalifa Group, the largest private group in Algeria, Rafiq Khalifa, confirmed that his enterprise is currently conducting negotiations with Germany’s Lufthansa and the Airbus Group in order to formulate a financial alliance to buy Air Algerie, reported Al-Hayat . The Khalifa Group owns the Khalifa Airlines Company, the second largest airline company in Algeria and several other companies including the internal air-mail company and its leasing agencies. The Algerian government is planning to modernize Air Algerie before selling it to the private sector. — (menareport.com)
