Kuwait’s Boubyan Petrochemical Company (BPCC) recorded earnings of 3.25 million Kuwaiti dinars ($10.7 million) in the first half of 2002 compared to KD 477,000 in the first half of 2001, reported TAIB Securities.
BPCC is a 10 percent shareholder of the Equate Petrochemical Company, a producer of ethylene glycol and a broad variety of linear- low and high-density polyethylene. Ethylene glycol is a key intermediate for polyester fiber and container resin.
