A celebration was held at the Omani Housing, Electricity and Water Ministry Wednesday under the auspices of Ahmed bin Abdul-Nabi Macki, Minister of National Economy and Deputy Chairman of the Financial Affairs and Energy Resources Council to hand-over ownership documents to a number of beneficiaries of the 16,000 land plots granted to social insurance families.
According to ONA, Macki presented 50 beneficiaries from Muscat Governorate with their ownership documents. During the ceremony, he conveyed the government had built 4,000 housing units during the past period and it will continue building social residents during the seventh five-year plan.
On his part, Saif bin Mohammed al-Shabibi, housing undersecretary at the Housing, Electricity and Water Ministry said all beneficiaries of these land plots are to receive ownership documents before the 35th National Day.
