Omani Airways debates purchasing small jet planes

The Board of Directors of the Omani Airways Corporation is evaluating the purchase of small jet planes with occupancy for 70 passengers per plane, reported Al-Hayat . The airline intends to modernize its fleet and to expand its domestic and overseas stations. Last year, the airliner contracted Boeing to acquire five 737-700 planes with occupancy for 124 passengers each. The Executive Director of the Omani Airways Corporation, Abdul-Rahman Al-Bosaeedy, stated that the new planes will cut airline operation costs by 1.5 million Omani Rials. — (menareport.com)
