Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS) said that the consumer price index increased in the Occupied Palestinian Territories (OPT) by 1.93% during October 2005.
In a press release issued Monday, PCBS revealed that the consumer price index figures in the OPT for the base year (1996=100), reached 149.52 for September 2005, recording a 1.93 % rise compared to September 2005.
According to the press release, the prices of remaining West Bank (The West Bank except for those parts of Jerusalem, which were annexed after 1967 occupation by Israel), have gone up by 1.95%, prices in Jerusalem increased by 1.66 %, and prices in Gaza Strip (GS) increased by 1.54%.
