The 13th Edition of “Amman International Marathon” Concludes With Success
Amman International Marathon.

Under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Firas Bin Raad, Run Jordan concluded the activities of Amman International Marathon on Friday 29th.

With more than 3000 participants, the marathon witnessed a great competition between the runners and the results were as follows:

42 KM – Male:

1st place: (Salameh al Aqra’a – time 2:41.28) he received a cash prize of 1000 JOD, 2nd place: (Methqal al Abbadi – time 2:42.47) he received a cash prize of 750 JOD, 3rd place: (Huthaifa Akawai – time 2:54.05) he received a cash prize of 500 JOD

42 KM – Female:

1st place: (Lura Wahmez – time 3:47.56) she received a cash prize of 1000 JOD, 2nd place: (Chris Peeters – time 3:52.01) she received a cash prize of 750 JOD, 3rd place: (Naheda al Bawat – time 3:56.21) she received a cash prize of 500 JOD

21 KM – Male:

1st place: (Yousef Musa – time 1:09.06) he received a cash prize of 350 JOD, 2nd place: (Ayman Al Sardi – time 1:13.25) he received a cash prize of 250 JOD, 3rd place: (Mohammad Al Shiekh – time 1:17.56) he received a cash prize of 150 JOD

21 KM – Female: 

1st place: (Honia Adam – time 1:23.33) she received a cash prize of 350 JOD, 2nd place: (Sabryeh Maradat – time 1:32.59) she received a cash prize of 250 JOD, 3rd place: (Emma Darwood – time 1:36.19) she received a cash prize of 150 JOD

21 KM – Wheelchair / Male:

1st place: (Ali Al- Sawalmeh – time 1:07.50) he received a cash prize of 300 JOD, 2nd place: (Bilal Abo Mansi – time 1:34.23) he received a cash prize of 200 JOD, 3rd place: (Kamal Al Tawalbeh – time 1:45.47) he received a cash prize of 100 JOD

21 KM - Visually Impaired "Partial" / Male:

1st place: (Nabeel Maqableh – time 1:21.22) he received a cash prize of 300 JOD, 2nd place: (Mohammad Jalham – time 1:34.07) he received a cash prize of 200 JOD, 3rd place: (Abd Al Raouf Al Khateeb – time 1:36.45) he received a cash prize of 100 JOD

21 KM - Visually Impaired / Male:

1st place: (Suhail Nashash – time 1:38.53) he received a cash prize of 300 JOD, 2nd place: (Mohammad Musleh – time 1:56.39) he received a cash prize of 200 JOD, 3rd place: (Muath Tarifi – time 2:22.24) he received a cash prize of 100 JOD

21 KM - Visually Impaired / Female:

1st place: (Nour Musleh – time 2:42.25) she received a cash prize of 300 JOD, 2nd place: (Sedra Al Saqari – time 3:18.17) she received a cash prize of 200 JOD, 3rd place: (Alaa Abu Khadra – time 3:21.38) she received a cash prize of 100 JOD

10 KM – Male:

1st place: (Ibrahem Salah – time 0:30:43) he received 1st place trophy, 2nd place: Asaad Atieh – time 0:31:13) he received 2nd place trophy, 3rd place: (Mohammad Dardoora – time 0:33:08) he received 3rd place trophy

10 KM – Female:

1st place: (Leen Abu Jbara – time 0:46.08) she received 1st place trophy, 2nd place: Abeer Kafi – time 0:46.44) she received 2nd place trophy, 3rd place: (Zaina Jarar – time 0:48:48) she received 3rd place trophy

10 KM – Visually Impaired / Male:

1st place: (Mohammad Naqeeb – time 1:17.14) he received 1st place trophy

10km – Wheel chair /Male:

1st place: Sami Farraj  - time 0:46.31 he received 1st place trophy

2nd place Abdulwahab Kashmiri time 1:01.38 he received 2nd place trophy

42 KM – Age groups / Male:

1st place (40-49 years): Jan Brenk – time 3:14.27

1st place (50-59): Salameh Al Aqraa – time 2:41.28

1st place (60-69): Douglas Magnuson – time  :4:07.20

42 KM – Age groups / Female:

1st place (40-49 years): Marie Brenk – time 4:10.43

1st place (50-59 years): Chris Peeters – Time  3:52.0

21 KM – Age groups / Male:

1st place (40-49 years): Ting Lin – time 1:36.49

1st place (50-59 years): Mohammad Sweiti– time 1:26.35

1st place (60-69 years): Tareq Hyadaden – time 1:42.27

21 KM – Age groups / Female:

1st place (40-49 years): Ola Asa’ad – time 1:45.42

10 KM – Age groups / Male:

1st place (40-49 years): Ahmad Al Ghazawi – time  0:39.26

1st place (50-59 years): Abd Alraheem Omar – time 0:42.13

1st place (60-69 years): Henrey Roberts– time 0:47.26

1st place (70+ years): Samih Jaber – time 1:14.30

10 KM – Age groups / Female:

1st place (40-49 years): Nisreen Matalqa – time 0:51:07

1st place (50-59 years): Gizlan Kamouni – time 0:5:38

1st place (60-69 years): Susan Roberts– time 0:58:45

1st place (70+ years): rwaida qawas – time 1:56:00

Inconclusion, Miss Lina AL Kurd, Run Jordan General Manager, extended her thanks and gratitude to all the organizers of the marathon, led by the supports of Great Amman Municipality, Arab Bank, The Potash Company, Tourism Promotion Authority, Arwa Water, Siniora, MacDonald’s and all the media and security authorities mentioning that this race would not have continued and shined in its thirteenth edition, as it is today, without their continuous efforts and support. 

Al Kurd also added:” We are very happy with the distinguished results achieved by the race participants, the diligent work of Run Jordan staff and all the marathon workers, that affected the participants outcomes and performance. I congratulate all the winners and thank all of the participants for these distinguished results and performance, which confirmed the approach of the Run Jordan management that aims to encourage sports especially running”.
