Badr Jafar honored with LIBAN award
Badr Jafar, President of Crescent Petroleum, Managing Director of the Crescent Group, Chief Executive Officer of Crescent Investments, and Co-Initiator of the Pearl Initiative, was honored yesterday in Beirut as one of the “Top International Entrepreneurs and Businesspersons”.
The award was announced at the First Arab-International Forum for Young Entrepreneurs & Businesspersons, held under the Patronage of H.E. General Michel Sleiman, President of the Republic of Lebanon, and organized by the Lebanese International Businessmen Associations' Network (LIBAN), and recognizes Jafar’s entrepreneurial achievements across a diverse range of businesses, including his philanthropic activities in the Middle East region as well as internationally.
LIBAN is an organization which recognizes excellence and creativity among entrepreneurs, and the importance of this kind of leadership for the Middle East and North Africa Region. This non political and not for profit organisation aims to create an interaction between the leading Lebanese businesspersons in Lebanon and their peers around the world, promoting bilateral and multilateral investment.
Robert Jreissati, the President of LIBAN, says he is very happy that Badr Jafar had accepted the invitation to attend and receive the award and described what it entails, “LIBAN is a very selective association that groups together the top five to ten businesspeople of each country as guest members into a foreign chapter that is honorably presided by the Lebanese Ambassador in the specified Country”, he said.
“We are honored to have a man of Badr Jafar’s stature and achievements as officially recognized by the LIBAN organization, and look forward to engaging with him further in developing mutual interests between entrepreneurs in the Lebanon and the UAE.”, he added.
