Dubai Economy and Dubai Municipality Close Down Restaurant for Non-Compliance With COVID-19 Guidelines

The Commercial Compliance & Consumer Protection (CCCP) sector in Dubai Economy, in co-operation with Dubai Municipality, has closed down a restaurant in Jumeirah for not adhering to the precautionary guidelines against COVID-19. The restaurant was found to have violated the guidelines relating to wearing masks and physical distancing, in addition to holding celebrations despite the restrictions imposed on such events recently.
Dubai Economy said it’s continuing inspections across in commercial centres and open markets with its various partners to ensure compliance with the precautionary guidelines, reminding that any violation or malpractice found by the inspectors or may be reported by the public will not be tolerated.
Dubai Economy also directed businesses to strictly adhere to the precautionary measures and called on the public to report any violation or harmful practices they come across through the Dubai Consumer App available on Apple, Google and Huawei stores, by calling 600545555, or via the Consumerrights.ae website.
