Parents and children on their ‘Back to School’ shopping mission at Dubai Festival City Mall from August 14th to September 7th will have plenty to rejoice about and the chance to make the least fortunate amongst us smile through a wide range of sales promotions, entertaining activities and charitable initiatives.

Those spending AED 150 at any Dubai Festival City Mall store during this period will enter a draw for the chance to win the grand prize of one full year’s school fees as well as a Mini iPad tablet. Those shopping at stores included in the special ‘Back to School’ guide will double their chances of winning this highly rewarding prize.

“As a primarily family-oriented leisure and retail destination Dubai Festival City Mall is all about creating an emotional bond with the community and this grand prize evokes the parents’ desire to provide quality education to their children, making our initiative a compelling proposition for adults and children alike,” said Bruce Von Kaufmann, General manager, Dubai Festival City Mall.

“Furthermore, in line with our ‘Together We Can’ CSR umbrella, we will organise a book donation drive during the same period through which we will collect reading books from our visitors and donate them on their behalf to the Dubai Autism Center,” he said. Two collection boxes have been placed in the mall to help visitors with their donations.

“Dubai Autism Center is very grateful for Dubai Festival City Mall’s charitable endeavor which provides many of our children the opportunity to learn and stay connected with the real world through education. We value this partnership and look forward to introducing many similar initiatives at the shopping center in the future,” said Afaf Al Haddad, Assistant Education Unit Head at the Dubai Autism Center.

Staying on the educational theme during the three-week Back To School period, a craft corner will provide children with fun, interactive and creative activities encouraging them to hone their talents whereas those visiting from 15-21 August will have an additional reason to enjoy themselves at the highly popular Dora the Explorer show.
