Etihad Airways announces national day celebrations

Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates will host a variety of celebrations to mark the country’s 41st national day.

An Etihad Airways’ branded bus will take part in the Yas Island carnival parade on December 2.  Manned by cabin crew, the celebratory bus will distribute refreshments to the crowds expected to attend the festival.

The airline will also have its own booth on the Abu Dhabi Corniche from November 30 to December 2. Visitors will have the opportunity to win free flights in special UAE National Day raffle draws.

Hareb Almuhairy, Etihad Airways’ Vice President, UAE said: “As the national airline of this great country, Etihad Airways is proud to be part of the celebrations and carry the “spirit of the union” message from Abu Dhabi to the world.”

In addition, Etihad Airways will host competitions on its Facebook page, asking followers to post national day celebration images.

Onboard, guests flying with the airline will receive national day packs containing dates and chocolates. Furthermore, promotional discounts to selected destinations are available on Etihad Airways’ website.

Mr Almuhairy concluded:  “As part of our commitment to Emirati society, Etihad Airways recognises the vital role UAE nationals play in the ongoing development and running of our world-class business, and we pay special tribute to them on this unique day.”
