Jaguar Land Rover takes home two ‘Middle East Car of the Year’ awards

Luxury automotive manufacturer Jaguar Land Rover was the proud recipient of two prestigious automotive accolades at the second edition of the Middle East Car of the Year (MECOTY) Awards, where the Jaguar XE and Range Rover Sport SVR were both named the best cars in their segments. The 2015 MECOTY winners were announced at an awards ceremony at Raffles Dubai, which took place in October, 2015.

Jaguar saw its new Jaguar XE win the title of MECOTY ‘Best Compact Executive Sedan’ of the year, triumphing over a very competitive set of established vehicles in the segment. Designed to offer an unrivalled combination of steering response, ride comfort, refinement and performance, the Jaguar XE has garnered a huge amount of attention since its launch and continues to make an impact in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. Dubbed the true driver’s car in its segment, the Jaguar XE plays testament to the Brand’s commitment to deliver innovative vehicle dynamics and groundbreaking performance.

Land Rover also witnessed the Range Rover Sport SVR, its most dynamic SUV ever, claim the award for ‘Best Premium Performance SUV’. Unleashing the full potential of the Range Rover Sport, the high-performance SVR was created by the Special Vehicle Operations (SVO) team as a natural progression beyond the core vehicle’s outstanding on- and off-roading capabilities. Without compromising comfort, refinement or versatility, the Range Rover Sport SVR has undergone a thorough range of revisions, taking its dynamic abilities to the next level.
