Mahmoudia Motors hosts 1st Jaguar F-TYPE Coupé ‘Track Event’ in Jordan

Introducing the Kingdom’s most interactive automotive event to date, Mahmoudia Motors - the sole and official dealer of the Jaguar and Land Rover brands in Jordan - hosted its first Jaguar F-Type Coupé ‘Track Event’ this October, providing premium luxury car enthusiasts the opportunity to experience first-hand Jaguar’s all-new F-Type Coupé range. Held at the Jordan Speed Centre, the Event brought together Mahmoudia Motors’ General Manager Abdimajid Haithar and team, Jaguar Land Rover MENA’s Regional Business Manager Raymond Gedeon, and a host of luxury sports car aficionados. 

In addition to showcasing the 2014 Jaguar XF, XJ, F-TYPE R and F-TYPE convertible models, the Event presented a live demonstration of the F-Type’s superior handling, power, speed and stability, performed by professional drifter and Dubai-based Drive Dynamics Managing Director, James Burnett. Attendees also pit their driving skills against each other by racing the Jaguar F-TYPE Coupé around a course, with the three fastest lap times receiving restaurant and spa vouchers from the Four Seasons Hotel in Amman. As a grand finale, Mahmoudia Motors held a raffle draw on an all-expenses-paid trip for two to the Formula 1 Grand Prix taking place in Abu Dhabi in November 2014.

The F-TYPE Coupé line-up includes the F-TYPE R, F-TYPE S and F-TYPE models, all of which feature a nimble, all-aluminium body that reflects the uncompromised design vision of the C-X16 concept and the F-TYPE Convertible, which won the ‘World Car Design of the Year Award’ in 2013. The range is headlined by the F-TYPE R Coupé, its 550PS/680Nm, 5.0 litre, supercharged V8 engine enabling acceleration from 0 - 60mph in 4.1 seconds, and a top speed of 186mph. The F-TYPE S Coupé and F-TYPE Coupé models complete the range, powered respectively by 380PS and 340PS versions of Jaguar’s 3.0 litre V6 S engine, reaching 0 - 60mph in 4.8 and 5.1 seconds, and top speeds of 171mph and 161mph.
