In line with its vision of becoming the most customer-centric marketer in the GCC region, Oman Oil Marketing Company (OOMCO) concluded its first Customer Care Week for 2019. During the five-day event, OOMCO’s CEO David Kalife, accompanied by the company’s management team, worked as fuel attendants at various service stations in Muscat, Sohar and Salalah. The team welcomed customers and heard first-hand what their expectations were and how they could further elevate service levels.

Suleyum Salim Al Hamzi, Customer Care Manager at Oman Oil Marketing Company, said, “This valuable exercise gave us an insight on how to improve our services and product offerings on the ground to offer the best customer experience possible. We understand that they are always looking for additional and better services and we are doing our best to exceed their expectations. Taking on the role of fuel attendants at service stations also set a good example for our employees, reaffirming our commitment to adding value to our customers’ lives.”

The company also held a ‘Tell Your Story ’competition, where staff shared where and how they went the extra mile to ensure customer satisfaction. The purpose of the annual Customer Care Week is to encourage employees to provide the best in customer service. OOMCO has been the first fuel marketer to organize a bi-annual Customer Care Week in various cities across the Sultanate. The company aims to go ‘beyond the pump’ and make its service stations hubs of convenience to create a memorable and energizing customer journey, while raising the bar for standards of care and services.
