In celebration of National Day, Ooredoo has lined up a whole host of exciting activities in honour of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said and his visionary leadership that has inspired Omanis for the past 44 years. Starting on 18 November, Ooredoo will be unveiling an artistic collage of His Majesty at their billboard in Qurum, the largest in Oman. In the build up to National Day, Ooredoo ran a social media campaign based on the #ouroman hashtag, inviting people across Oman to submit selfies to form the largest collage ever made of His Majesty. The masterpiece is scheduled to be revealed on the 18th.

Several volunteers from the company will also be setting out on the morning of the 18th to distribute over 44,000 flags to schools, hospitals and other organisations across the Sultanate, to connect with the children of Oman and share in the fun and celebrations with them.

Speaking on their National Day agenda Greg Young, Ooredoo CEO in Oman, said, “This is an incredibly important time for the country. As part of the caring for community, we took it on ourselves to collectively show tribute to one of the greatest leaders of this century, one who 44 years ago made a promise to his country and today is reaping the fruits of his work in love, appreciation and commitment.”

As well as some exciting offers during the National Day period, Ooredoo will be organising a free celebration, featuring live performances from various artists. Customers will be able to find out more about the location and timing of the event over the coming few days.
