PepsiCo-Jordan, three-time winner of the King Abdullah II Award for Excellence, signed an agreement with the Jordan Football Association (JFA), under which it will extend financial and moral support to 27 players of the premier Jordanian national football team, also known as Al Nashama.

Given that the Al Nashama team wins their upcoming match against the Omani national team, slated for 16th October, 2012, in Muscat, PepsiCo-Jordan will offer financial rewards to the players. If the Al Nashama team draws or loses the match, PepsiCo-Jordan will put aside the rewards as an incentive for their next match against the Iraqi national team, scheduled to take place on 14th October, 2012, in Doha.

“This initiative aims to further motivate our talented players to excel in the upcoming match against the fellow Omani national team, uncover their hidden potential and perform to the best of their abilities, in hopes of qualifying for the 2014 World Cup finals in Brazil. On behalf of PepsiCo-Jordan, I would like to wish our skilled Al Nashama team the best of luck in their upcoming matches,” commented PepsiCo-Jordan General Manager Eng. Nidal Hamam.

In turn, JFA Vice President Mohammad Alayyan, expressed the Association’s gratitude towards PepsiCo-Jordan for its key role in supporting JFA’s activities and sharing its goals with regards to the Al Nashama team, and its contribution to Jordanian football.

“By supporting and motivating the Al Nashama team, PepsiCo-Jordan emphasizes private sector organizations’ important role in encouraging and spurring on Jordan’s talented football players to qualify for the highly anticipated 2014 World Cup finals,” stated Alayyan.

“JFA considers PepsiCo-Jordan a true partner that is involved in the different aspects of community development. As such, signing this agreement with JFA further affirms PepsiCo-Jordan’s genuine interest in highlighting the crucial role of private sector companies in engaging with the entire community on different fronts,” Alayyan added.
