Right Health UAE Honors Female Employees for International Women’s Day

Right Health, the UAE’s largest and fastest-growing value healthcare organization, today acknowledged the wonderful contributions, hard work and dedication of its women employees on the occasion of International Women’s Day.
Women at various levels within the network who help the company deliver excellent healthcare to blue collar workers were recognized for their efforts. They included doctors, nurses, administrators and managers. Each of the women were awarded a certificate of appreciation for their service by the senior management team.
Speaking at the felicitation ceremony, Shainoor Khoja, Chief Impact Officer, Right Health, said: “International Women’s Day provides us an opportunity to officially recognize the contribution that women make globally as well as specifically to our business and the United Arab Emirates. The government’s wise leadership has been instrumental in ensuring the inclusion of women in senior leadership roles, acknowledging the immense positive impact that women make to our society.”
She added: “At Right Health, we are fully aligned with the UAE National Agenda’s vision, and are extremely proud that 30 percent of our workforce is made up of women. As we move forward to deliver our growth strategy, we have set ourselves the target of achieving greater gender balance of 50 percent women - across the workforce. To ensure that we provide the right opportunities for women going forward, we are setting ambitious targets to provide continuous professional development by investing in their skills and capabilities. We are targeting 100 percent participation from our staff in our ‘Continuous Professional Development Program’, over the next 12 months.”
Dr Sanjay Paithankar, Managing Director, Right Health, said: “International Women’s Day offers an ideal opportunity to celebrate the women in our workforce, who devote countless hours of their time to the business in addition to caring for their families. We are indeed privileged to have exceptional female doctors, nurses, administrators, and financial and marketing experts in our ranks and continuously strive to empower them to be the best they can be. With the continued support of our female staff, we are confident to reach our mark of serving one million people by 2022.”
Women and girls’ empowerment is a major focus of the UAE National Strategy to be achieved by 2021. It is estimated that women make up 66 percent of UAE public sector workers, with approximately 30 percent in leadership roles. It is also projected that women comprise 75 percent of the workforce in education and healthcare in the UAE.
Right Health is aiming to fill gaps in healthcare services for working women, and is actively targeting several clinics in ‘women only’ labor camps within the UAE. The company is already in advanced discussions with the Sharjah Labor Authority.
