SABIC Highlights Local Content Initiative at PPPP Expo
SABIC is participating in the Saudi Plastics and Petrochem exhibition at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center, which opened Sunday, as the Diamond Sponsor, at a time when Saudi Arabia is accelerating its drive toward economic diversification under its ambitious Vision 2030 program.
SABIC’s pavilion is showcasing the company’s high-performance polymer products and innovative solutions that cater to key market segments such as healthcare, construction, packaging, transportation, and consumer goods. SABIC also highlighted its Local Content and Business Development initiative in support of the national industrial sector.
SABIC will conduct a series of interactive seminars at the exhibition where customers will be briefed on the company’s well-differentiated material solutions that could give them a competitive advantage.
Speaking at a customer dinner hosted by SABIC on the sidelines of the exhibition, Sami Al-Osaimi, vice president, polyethylene & sales, emphasized the commitment of the company to the strategic business relationships with its customers. “We are constantly seeking to further build on our strong relationships with customers and take them to new levels.”
Highlighting SABIC’s strong support to further strengthening the national economy, Al-Osaimi said the company has just launched a new initiative, NUSANED, to facilitate the development of local content and business. The pioneering program has been established in partnership with the public and private sectors.

The Saudi Plastics and Petrochemical Industries Exhibition is considered the most important event of its kind in Saudi Arabia. The 15th edition of the Saudi Plastics and Petrochemicals and the Saudi Printing & Packaging Exhibitions (Saudi PPPP), will continue till Jan. 24.
