Samsung Electronics Levant’s “Samsung Sandstrom” team participates in “Dead to Red” race

Samsung Electronics Levant the global leader in digital media and convergence technologies, recently announced its team “Samsung Sandstorm” participation in the “Dead to Red” race – Run from the dead sea to the red sea. 

The Samsung Sandstorm team included 10 runners and 2 drivers from different nationalities; 3 from Jordan, 4 from USA, 2 from Australia, and 1 from Germany, while the drivers team gathered 1 British and 1 Australian. 

Samsung Electronics Levant’s participation stems from the company’s firm believe in sports and its role for a healthier lifestyle and building better communities. Additionally, Samsung Electronics supported various sports based initiatives such as, The Annual Amman International Marathon, in addition to its partnership with the Asian Football Confederation. 

Ahmad Al-Najjar member of Samsung Sandstorm team commented on his participation by saying: "It was a great opportunity to participate in “Dead to Red” race with Samsung Sandstorm team, and I would like to thank the organizers and supporters who have made our participation a unique experience."                                                                                                             

Aiming to highlight Jordan’s beautiful landscapes while enjoying a sporting and endurance activity, the race started from Wadi Mujib Bridge on the shores of the Dead Sea at an altitude of -415m below sea level to Wadi Araba with an altitude of +120m above sea level continuing to reach the Gulf of Aqaba. 

The “Dead to Red” race was followed by a ceremony to honor the contributors, participants and sponsors in addition to the race supporters such as; civil defense units, the army, media representatives and the volunteers.
