Sheraton Grand Hotel, Dubai Raised $60,670 During a Road to Awareness Culinary Event

On 17th October 2017, Sheraton Grand Hotel, Dubai hosted a culinary evening in support of ‘Road to Awareness’, Marriott International’s annual associate fundraising campaign.

The event took place in the Starlight Ballroom and was hosted by Dubai Eye’s Tom Urquhart, who led a raffle draw and auction. The total amount raised during the evening was 222,843 AED ($60,670).

From a culinary perspective, 19 of Marriott International’s Executive Chefs showcased their specialties from their signature restaurants.

Grub, General Manager of the Sheraton Grand Hotel, Dubai said of this year’s fundraising initiative: “It was a delight to welcome the very best of Marriott International’s culinary talent to the Sheraton Grand Hotel, Dubai for this fundraising event. The Road to Awareness associate campaign has been making a positive difference to children in the communities Marriott International operates in since 2008.”

100% of the funds raised through Road to Awareness will be given to the Al Jalila Foundation in support of the ‘Farah’ project (joy or happiness in Arabic) which will provide financial support for children’s medical treatments in the UAE.
