Software AG wins European Business Award for international growth strategy

Software AG, a leading provider of Business Process Excellence (BPE) solutions, was confirmed as winner of the HSBC International Growth Strategy of the Year at the European Business Awards 2011 in Barcelona. In a hotly-contested category, the accolade reflected Software AG’s huge growth over the past 18 months following the launch of its cutting-edge BPE product portfolio. This saw group turnover increase by 32 per cent year on year, driven by a 34 per cent growth in the BPE business line, with the company returning over €1 billion revenue in 2010, one year ahead of plan.

The award recognized that the company’s shift in focus from product to process had led to significant growth. For Phil Forrest, chairman of judges, “Software AG’s 40 years of innovation in offering customers a unique portfolio of end-to-end business process management solutions is proof that, in the highly competitive world of software supply, specialization and focus on a key performance improvement sector can deliver effective growth.”
