Visa and Bank al Etihad join forces to offer the new Visa Business Card

Visa, one of the world’s leading payment solution providers has joined forces with Bank al Etihad, an active and visionary partner in the banking industry in Jordan, to launch the first Visa Business Card in Jordan. The new Visa Business Card is dedicated to small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Jordan to assist them in managing their working capital needs and monitoring and tracking of their business expenses such as travel and entertainment, stationeries and others.

Commercial cards have been among the fastest growing card products in recent years. Encouraged by cards’ success in replacing paper-based consumer transactions, industry leaders such as Visa and Bank al Etihad anticipated that similar efficiencies could be realized in commercial payments in Jordan, reducing the costs incurred by businesses and government for check production and reconciliation, travel advances to employees, purchase order processing, and other expensive paper-based practices.

The launching of this new commercial credit card comes in line with the introduction of the banks’ new modern and more dynamic corporate identity, as well as the conversion of its Debit cards into Visa Electron and Visa Platinum Debit along with the issuance of the Visa Platinum Credit Card.
