Qatar predicts inflationary pressures to ease after it hosts the December 2006 Asian Games, which have pushed up rent and property prices, the central bank governor said on Tuesday. In an interview with Reuters, he said "If you eliminate rent and land prices, you will see the inflation rate in Qatar is close to the [regional] rate at around 3 per cent."
