Representative of Russia's Tatoil Cooperation said on Monday that reports the company pulling out from a joint oil exploration venture with Iran's state-affiliated organization, the Mostazafan and Janbazan Foundation (MJF), are not true.
The managing director of the Tatoil, in a letter to the newly-created "Pars Tat-Naft Kish" company which is a joint company by MJF and Tatoil, denied backing off the deal.
"So far there is no decision regarding ceasing of activities of the company in Iran and will not be in the future," the letter said.
In another part of the letter, the Tatoil director general said that the company's activities have no bearing on political developments in Iran and the company will carry on with its projects in Iran.
