A 50/50 joint venture between the Riyadh-based Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (Sabic) and the Texas corporation ExxonMobil was recently set up by the name of Al-Jubail Petrochemical Company (Kemya). The new joint venture will see a one billion dollar ethylene, propylene and polyethylene plant completed and commencing full commercial production in the first half of 2003. — (menareport.com)
