Saudi customs revenues hit $2.5 billion

The Saudi Statistics Bureau reported that Saudi customs revenues on imports hit 9.8 billion Saudi Riyals ($2.5 billion) in 2000, reported Al-Watan . This figure translates into a slight rise of 0.4 percent compared with the previous year, in which customs revenues totaled SR 9.715 billion. The bureau also reported that the volume of imported cargo grew from 23 million tons to 26 million tons during the same period. — (menareport.com)
