Soaring rents might damage Dubai's economic success as rent hikes are reported at up to 50 pe rcent a year. Many foreign company executives are also concerned by the lack of a UAE regulatory environment and the rule of law regarding rents.
According to the GDN, landlords and real estate owners can impose whatever level of increase on commercial and residential property they choose.
