ALBAWABA - A Spanish restaurant, Asador Aupa, located in Cabrera de Mar in Catalonia, has unveiled what is believed to be the most expensive burger in the world, priced at $11,000 (around €9,450).
The restaurant, renowned for its luxurious Basque-style cuisine, said the exclusive creation is the result of eight years of research and experimentation by its chefs, according to Oddity Central.
Unlike other luxury dishes that rely on edible gold or extravagant garnishes, Asador Aupa’s burger earns its high price from the exceptional quality of its ingredients and the exclusivity of the dining experience.
The restaurant was founded by Spanish chef and culinary influencer Bosco Jiménez, known as BdeVikingo, who believes that “true luxury should be rare and not easily accessible.”
The burger is not listed on the menu and cannot be ordered through a standard reservation. Instead, it is served by invitation only to a select group of guests, who enjoy the meal in a private dining room with a limited number of attendees.
The dish is made using three of the finest types of beef in the world, paired with one of Europe’s most exclusive cheeses, and finished with a signature sauce made from premium spirits. The restaurant keeps the full recipe strictly confidential.

While the creators insist that the burger’s price reflects its rarity and craftsmanship, many have questioned whether a meal worth the cost of a small car can truly be justified.
This luxurious creation has now surpassed the previous record-holder “Golden Boy” to become the world’s most expensive burger — both in terms of cost and the exclusive experience it offers.
