ALBAWABA - An AI chat app called 'Text With Jesus' has gone viral on social media despite many deeming the app a form of blasphemy and disrespectful to Christianity. However, CEO Stéphane Peter revealed that the app has already drawn thousands of users.

Aside from Jesus Christ, the app also allows users to chat with other biblical figures, such as Moses, Mary, Jonah, and many more to come, according to the app's official website.

Additionally, the website states that the app can offer users daily scriptures, Bible study resources, and devotional planning, while also serving as a prayer companion.

Developer Catloaf Software describes the app as "A Divine Connection in Your Pocket," and "a revolutionary AI-powered chatbot app, designed for devoted Christians seeking a deeper connection with the Bible's most iconic figures."

Catloaf Software CEO Stéphane Peter told Fox Business, "Since launch, most people have come to the app out of curiosity, and it’s been incredible to see how many want to try a conversation with biblical figures."

Peter added that despite concerns of backlash, the response from users has been "overwhelmingly positive," and that the majority viewed it as a new format to "explore scripture and spirituality."

However, many social media users condemned the app. An individual wrote under Fox Business' article regarding the topic, "This is disgusting to me. If you use things like this - shame on you. The Bible is readily and immediately available. Read the book. Pray for guidance, wisdom, discernment, forgiveness, and a heart of repentance."

Another wrote on X (formerly Twitter), "Blasphemous, disgraceful and highly concerning."

The app is currently available on multiple platforms, including Apple's App Store, Google Play, and Microsoft Store.
