Two Days of Free Parking in Dubai Marking Hijri New Year

Residents in Dubai will enjoy an extra day of free parking after the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) announced that no parking charges will be levied on Thursday, September 13, on account of the holiday for the Hijri New Year.

Parking charges will resume on Saturday, September 15.

All customer happiness centres will remain closed on Thursday, the RTA said, except for the one at Umm Al Ramool, which will operate round the clock.

Metro and tram timings

The Dubai Metro red line will start operations from 5am until 1am of the following day, and the green line will start at 5.30am until 1am the next day. The Dubai Tram will operate from 6am until 1am the following day.

Bus timings

The service timings of public buses on Thursday 13 September, will be as follows: Main stations like Gold Souq Station will open from 4.25am to 12.29am the next day, and Al Ghubaiba Station will operate from 4.14am to 12:33am the following day. Subsidiary stations such as Satwa will operate from 5am to 11pm, except for Route C01, which will be operating around-the-clock.

Stations of Metro Link buses, such as Al Rashidiya, Mall of the Emirates, Ibn Battuta, Burj Khalifa, Abu Hail and Etisalat, will open from 5am to 1am the next day. The timing of all metro feeder buses will be synchronised with the timing of the metro service.
