Two million sheep consumed in Saudi Arabia during Al-Adha feast

Livestock sources in Mecca and Riyadh estimate sheep and cattle consumption in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia during the Al-Adha (Eid) feast and pilgrimage season at two million heads, reported Al-Hayat. This quantity is valued 1.5 billion Saudi Riyals ($400 million). The same sources revealed a 20 percent growth in the number of sheep slaughtered in the Kingdom during the yearly pilgrimage compared with last year. — (menareport.com)
