ALBAWABA - The world's largest silver ingot, weighing a record 1,971 kilograms, was unvieled by the Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC).
The massive silver ingot gained a Guinness World Record. Erem News reported that the unveiling happened during the Dubai Precious Metals Conference on Nov. 24.
The silver ingot was designed with a symbolic weight representing the year the UAE was founded, in a move that reflects national craftsmanship and a spirit of innovation.
Ahmed Bin Sulayem, Executive Chairman and CEO of the Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC), said that the 13th edition of the Dubai Precious Metals Conference saw new records set, most notably the unveiling of the world's largest silver ingot, weighing 1,971 kilograms and measuring 1.3 meters in length.
