In response to market rumors, US Liquids has stated that it does not anticipate its business will benefit from a war in Iraq. The company assured that it does not have a contract to perform any services in Iraq, nor does it anticipate entering any new deals in the near future.

Internet chat groups have been posting statements on message boards for several days saying that the company signed contracts with the US government to clean up oil spills in Iraq after the war. The rumors caused US Liquids to rise by nearly 60 percent, reaching one dollar on the American Stock Exchange.

US Liquids is a provider of liquid waste management services. It operates 40 facilities in 16 states and Canada, and has more than 10,000 customers. — (menareport.com)
