American Healthcare Management Systems Ltd. (AHMSL) recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the EMAAR Properties, for the construction of a new 300-bed multi-specialty private hospital, to be located near EMAAR’s Gold and Diamond Park Project in the Jumeirah district in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), confirmed a press release.
The new hospital, poised to become the region’s largest private hospital, is estimated to cost in the vicinity of 250 million Emirati Dirhams ($68 million). AHMSL will take over total facility management of the hospital, which will serve the community needs of the Jumeirah, Umm Suqeim and Jebel Ali area. Phase one of the project will feature a 100-bed capacity wing with the remaining capacity to be completed during phase two of the project.
AHMSL is the newly established division of the Varkey Group, owner and manager of Welcare Hospital in Dubai, provider of private sector medical care. AHMSL was created through a number of strategic alliances with American healthcare providers, with the objective of providing quality management and consultancy services to healthcare service providers within the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region, South Africa, the Far East and beyond.
According to the company press release, enquiries have already come in from Kuwait, Oman, Qatar and India for AHMSL to provide healthcare management services. — (menareport.com)
