Lebanese singer Wael could be the happiest man in the Middle East, even after a series of marital problems, as his latest album “Ya Dili Ya Rouhi” (MY Love and Soul) takes the region by storm.
The album has struck the right chord across the Arab world, and is riding high in the charts, by selling copies by the truck-load. In most states in the MENA region the album is outselling all others, with most of the singles also hitting the prized number one spot for the last five weeks.
In Lebanon, “Ya Dili Ya Rouhi” is by far the best-selling album in ‘Virgin Mega Stores’, along with Dubai stores, where it has been the biggest selling album for four weeks. Struggling to compete with the Lebanese star is Egyptian singer Mohammed Hamaki, ending up runner up in the battle for the number one spot with his album “Min Qalbi Baghani” (I Sing From the Bottom of my Heart), and Elissa’s latest release “Asaed Wahdah” (The Happiest One) finishing in third place.
