Yemen plans to build 120 dams to support agriculture

As many as 120 dams are planned to be constructed in Wadi Hadramout to sustain agriculture, a local agriculture and irrigation source said on Monday. According to SABA, a source from the office of the ministry of agriculture and irrigation in Wadi Hadramout said that a study is being carried out to construct the water facilities by the end of 2006.

 

"We are currently studying with the Agriculture Fostering Office the method to determine the distribution of the projects according to the need of each county of Wadi Hadramout region," conveyed the source.
