He was found guilty of molestation and will be deported after serving his sentence.
A worker, accused of groping a 16-year-old student in the elevator of the building she was staying, has been sentenced to three months in jail by a Dubai court.
Public prosecution records show the 31-year-old Pakistani man inappropriately touched the student; also a Pakistani, as she was about to leave the lift.
The Court of First Instance found him guilty of molestation and ordered his deportation after serving his sentence.
The incident took place on June 8, last year.
The student said she entered the building after entering the passcode for the gate. "The accused entered right after me but I did not pay him much attention. As I was about to walk out of the elevator in the fourth floor, he groped me." The 16-year-old also added that she kicked the man in self-defence. She then screamed for her mother to help her.
The accused rushed to leave the elevator then took the stairs running out of the building.
The student was taken by her parents to Al Muraqqabat police station where she gave a testimony about the incident.
The defendant admitted to the charge during interrogation.
The girl identified him among other suspects at the police station.
Surveillance cameras caught the worker taking the elevator at the same time with the student then rushing out shortly later.
