The babies were due roughly two weeks apart from each other but the cousins will share the same birthday now.

It was double happiness for twin brothers in Michigan when their wives delivered babies on the same day. Joshua and Justin Thorington were awaiting the birth of their unborn babies but did not expect that their wives would give birth on the same day. Joshua's wife Denise welcomed a baby boy, Jack, on March 27 at 4:18 am. Just an hour later, Justin's wife, Alex, was rushed to the same hospital because she was in labour.

After the birth of Jack at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City, Joshua and Denise started getting calls from family members asking when they could come see the newborn. But, the couple was perplexed as they did not hear from Justin and Alex. "We didn't hear from them [Alex and Justin] right away so I thought something was up," MSN quoted Joshua as saying in Fox News on Friday.

Later, Justin told his brother Joshua that his wife Alex was in labour and just before midnight that same day, Alex gave birth to a baby girl named Lucy. "It was kind of destined to be," Joshua told WPBN.

The babies were due roughly two weeks apart from each other but now both families are ecstatic as the cousins will now share the same birthday. Joshua said, "The entire pregnancy we joked about how it could happen. At first it didn't really hit me how unique this was but the more I think about it the more I realize how special it is," Justin said.

Justin added, "Lucy and Jack will always have someone in life to have fun with, and someone that can be there to lean on or provide support to through difficult times. They will always have a friend."
