The actress Abeer Sabri returns to the cinema in the film “Asafeer Al Neel” (The Nile’s Birds), an adaptation of a novel by Ibrahim Aslan.
The film is directed by Majdi Ahmad Ali and in it Abeer plays the role of a poor woman trying to raise her children.
The film also tells the story of a young man that moves with his family from rural area to an urban area to try and have a better life. The film depicts the economic conditions for middle class people from the 1940’s to present date.
Abeer’s last film, “Falah Fe Al Kongres” (Falah in Congress), was released seven years ago. The film also starred Shaban Abed Al Rahim and Ala Mursi.
