Day after day Lebanese singer Alissa moves from one success to another. The first spark of success started in Morocco where she held a concert in the city of Rabat, where 20 thousand of her fans danced and listened to her all night long.
After that, Alissa headed to Cairo where she held a concert sponsored by Pepsi on July 20 and thousands were there to listen to their favorite star. Alissa witnessed more success in the second perfomance in Alexandria where more than 22 thousand people attended her concert.
Rotana celebrated the success of its star by holding a party and a press conference in Grand Hayyat Hotel [Cairo]. The party was a great success and many of Egypt's stars attended and celebrated with Alissa. Alissa talked about her latest album “Ahla Dunia” (The Perfect World), and expressed her happiness at the success the album has so far witnessed in Egypt. Alissa revealed that personal reasons were behind the delay of her press conference in Egypt.
Alissa's participation in the Jordanian annual summer Jerash festival was also a success and more than two thousand people showed up to sing with their favorite star. There was some rumors about Alissa using play-back technology in Jerash which gives the impression that she did not sing and only moved her body and lips with the music.
These rumors are hard to believe because Alissa sang a song for Wael Kfouri entitled [3omri Killo] which was never recorded. Alissa was also suffering a severe cold days before the festival which made her look a bit tiered. Alissa did not comment on the rumors about Jerash festival and only said that she won't answer cheap journalists who are only seeking to ruin her popularity.
Alissa has denied any disagreement with Lebanese singer Ragheb Alamah and poet Mohammed Al-Rifa'I, stressing that these rumors are created by cheap media. Alissa had a duet with Ragheb when she was in her beginnings but she asserted that she will not do another duet unless it's international like the one she did with Chris De Burg.
Previously, Ragheb had expressed his anger at Alissa during a concert on New Year’s Eve where the two sang their duet “Bitgheeb Bitrouh” (You Disappear and You Leave). Ragheb’s anger was a result of the advertising banners that were focused mainly on Alissa and barely featured him, saying he is the reason behind her success and therefore he should have at least received the same amount of advertising if not more.
Ragheb had also added that he regrets his duet with Alissa and had sworn to never repeat it again. But Alissa said that she does not believe that Ragheb had made any such comments towards her. She also stressed that she holds high respect for the singer and is grateful to him for giving her the opportunity to sing with him. –Albawaba.com
