Filming of the new Syrian social drama "Al Qurban" (The Sacrifice) is well underway in the nation's capital. Behind the scenes of the drama, leading lady Amal Arafeh adorned an engagement gown, while busy actress Nadine Tahsin Baik appeared wearing the Islamic headdress (Hijab).
In the drama, Amal plays the role of 'Yara' who falls madly in love with a young man named 'Sami' played by actor Yazan Al Sayed, a relationship that develops into marriage (hence why the actress and singer was seen an engagement gown).
According to Sayidaty.net, Nadine plays a character of the same name who epitomizes the traditional, religious and forgiving Syrian woman.
The drama set in 2010 before the Syrian crisis erupted, sheds light on the life of that period, as well as the events that led to the revolution and beyond.
The script written by Rami Kousa and directed by Alaa Ed Din Kawkash boasts an incredible cast of Alaa Basha, Samer Ismael, Shadi Maqrash, Najla Al Khamri, Fayez Qazaq, Wafa Mousali, Samer Imran and Shadi Zaydan.
