Business manager, Sharbil Domat, of Lebanese singer Amal Hijazi threw a surprise birthday party for the singer. On the day of her birthday, the singer was scheduled to film an episode for the program “Albi Daleeli” (My Heart Knows), which filming for had been intentionally postponed by Sharbil to coincide with Amal’s birthday, in order for him to make all the necessary arrangements.
According to the London based Elaph, after filming the episode, Amal was escorted by Sharbil to the Habtour Metropolitan hotel where he had told her that they will be meeting up with a concert agent to talk about her upcoming tour to Malaysia. Upon their arrival, the singer was shocked to find photographers and her family and friends all gathered to celebrate her birthday.
The singer had expressed her joy at the surprise and said that she never thought Sharbil was up to something. The surprise of the party was Lebanese impersonator Bassem Faghali, who had dressed in the same dress the singer was wearing and began impersonating her and sang the song “Ainak” (Your Eyes).
Amal had asked Bassem where he was able to get the same dress she was wearing, but he refused to reveal anything to her.
The singer is preparing to go on tour around the Arab world starting in Kuwait and then heading off to Morocco. After the scheduled concerts, Amal will be returning to Lebanon to work on her upcoming album and prepare for its release, which is scheduled to be in April.
Amal had also signed a contract with a Kuwaiti contact lenses company and will be shooting a commercial in the very near future.
