Egyptian singer Angham has announced that she will begin shooting the scenes for her new move “Hikayet Madina” (City Story). Angham has revealed that she will enter the acting world through the film marking her first acting experience and leading role. Angham noted that she decided to accept the role in the film after reading the script and falling in love with the story, which she reveals had drawn her to it.
According to the UAE based daily, Al Bayan, the singer is holding extensive work sessions with the director and producer in order to finalize all the remaining details before filming. In the film, Angham will play the role a singer named “Hayah”, who is living the dream of fame. The film will take viewers into different stages of the singer’s life to reveal how she achieved her success. The film, which is the first for Angham, is also the first directing experience for actress Farah, who will also produce it.
Recently, Angham was married less than two months ago and already rumors have been created claiming that she and her husband, music distributor Fahed, are facing marital problems. It was rumored that due the problems the two are going through they cut their honeymoon short and returned to Egypt.
The truth of the matter is the couple had only planned on a two-week honeymoon, because both have overwhelming work obligations. Angham had to begin choosing the songs for her upcoming album, and Fahed was overloaded with songs to compose for different singers.
