Egyptian singer Hakim has headed off to the United States of America to hold 18 concerts in different states for the Arab population living there throughout the month of October. The tour has been scheduled after Hakim’s successful episode on the American news network CNN filmed in Cairo last month.
According to the London based daily, Al Sharq Al Awsat, in the episode Hakim filmed for CNN, which marks his second appearance on the channel, he talked about his belief that it is in the power of Arab countries to work together and stand as one to overcome the detriorating situation the region is going through.
Hakim also announced that upon his return from the US he will hold several concerts around Egypt for the Muslim holiday Eid Al Fitr. Hakim has revealed that he has begun working sessions with director Mohammad Al Najar to place the final touches on his upcoming film “Ali Spicy”, which will mark his debut into the cinema. The singer announced that the filming of scenes is scheduled to take place in mid-December, after being postponed several times by the director for his involvement in other works to be screened during the Muslim fasting month of Ramadan.
Hakim stressed that this film will mark his debut in the acting world, and that he does not consider his previous acting experience in the film “Al Hanoon Wal Tabal” as one worth mentioning. In the film “Ali Spicy”, the singer performs the character of Ali Abu Al-Ila who is a student in medicine school but he leaves his studies to be a singer despite his father's refusal. –Albawaba.com
