Lebanese singer Diana Haddad has announced that she has fired her former business manager Ropier Fakhri and that there no longer exists any form of bond between them. She stressed that Ropier no longer represents her and is not eligible to speak in her name, as was the case before.

According to the London based weekly, Laha, it was revealed that Diana had laid off Ropier after she discovered that he was behind the recent rumors of her divorce. Diana added that there are other business and personal reasons leading her to take such a drastic decision.

Haddad is back in the spotlight after a two-year absence with a new musical album that is achieving a great success. Diana said that her album “Awal Marra” (The First Time) was supposed to be released last year but when she was about to release it she found other good songs that she felt should be added to the. The same instance happened another time and so she decided to film three video clips to be released with the album.

About her continuous work with Suhail Abdoul, Diana Haddad's husband, the singer revealed that her husband is busy now with his new satellite channel “Nogoum” (Stars) and the idea of cooperating with other directors is now just a matter of time. Among the names nominated to direct Diana's video clips are Ahmad Mahdi, Nadine Labki, Sa'eed Marouq, and Jamil Moghazi.

Diana noted that she is very happy with her song “Awal Mara” because its her first experience to sing in the Moroccan accent and she did it to show respect to her fans in Morocco. Diana added that she likes change in her work and always tries to surprise her fans with good and new songs.

In her new album, Diana made lots of songs in Egyptian accent and she says it’s because Egyptian accent is the easiest one to understand in the Arab world and also because she wanted to express her gratitude to Egyptian fans who supported her throughout her.

Diana said that she was injured during filming the video clip “Weili” (Oh My) and the whole idea of the clip revolve around a female basketball player who falls for the opponent team coach and she looses her concentration during the game because she is thinking about him. The end of the story shows that the girl is lonely because the coach left the country with the cup without knowing about her feelings towards him.

Rumors circled lately that Diana is getting divorced from her husband Suhail Abdoul but Diana stressed that this rumor has been circling for the past 8 years since she got married. Diana is relieved that rumors stop at that level and do not get more severe.

About her starting an acting career, Diana says that she had an offer from actor Mohammed Sa'ad for a role in his new movie but she preferred not to discuss the possibility until a latter time. –Albawaba.com
